Hexnge Support
Getting started
Hexnge is a hex-tile puzzle game. You swap neighboring tiles on a grid to form full rows of one color (every cell in that row matches). Clearing rows is how you score, survive, and complete mode-specific goals.
Press a tile, then swipe to an adjacent tile (up, down, left, or right). The two tiles swap. You get one swap per swipe — lift your finger and swipe again for the next move.
A full horizontal row where all tiles in that row are the same color. Partial rows don’t clear.
No. Only tiles that share a side can be swapped.
Use the Pause button during play. Resume when you're ready.
Game modes
Each mode uses the same core swap-and-match idea, but with different pressure and goals:
| Mode | In short |
|---|---|
| Classic | Endless play. New tiles appear as you play. Chase a high score. |
| Hyper | 60 seconds on a fixed board. Clear all tiles as fast as you can. Tracks your best time. |
| Hexfall | Tiles drop in column by column. The game speeds up as your score rises. Survive as long as you can. |
| Challenge | Level goals: clear a set number of rows in specific colors to advance. |
| Zen | Relaxed play — same puzzles without the usual time/spawn pressure. |
| Hexneon | Tiles move on a conveyor. Tap the color buttons to clear matching tiles on the belt. |
When the grid fills up so you can't keep playing safely — there's no room for new tiles. Focus on clearing rows before the board gets too crowded.
After moves and row clears, new tiles spawn into empty spaces. Every action adds a little pressure — clearing rows opens space but the board refills over time.
Clear every tile on the board before the 60-second timer hits zero. Your time is recorded; beating your fastest clear is the goal.
No. You start with a fixed set of tiles. You're racing the clock, not an endless spawner.
Tiles enter from the top, one column at a time, and fall into the lowest free slot in that column. You swap tiles on the grid to build and clear full rows while more tiles keep coming.
Fall rate and pacing increase with score (speed tiers every 1000 points). Swap animations also get quicker at higher speeds so play stays responsive.
Each level asks you to clear a target number of rows in specific colors (shown in the challenge UI). Complete all color goals to finish the level.
Players who want to practice matching and clearing without arcade pressure — good for learning the grid or unwinding.
Watch the conveyor. Press the button that matches the color of the tile you want to remove. Choosing the wrong color applies a penalty.
Scoring & combos
It depends on the mode. Classic and Hexfall use score-based play with bonuses for efficient clears. Challenge is about completing level objectives. Hyper is about time, not a high score.
Those tiers reward clearing a row in fewer swaps since your last clear. Fewer moves before a clear usually means a higher bonus.
Chaining row clears (especially when gravity causes another full row) can trigger combo scoring in modes that support it.
Continue & game over
After game over, Continue may let you keep playing with a limited number of moves (often 10) to clear at least one row and stay in the run. Exact availability depends on mode and your version.
During those 10 moves, no new falling tiles spawn, and swap timing uses the normal, slower animations so you can plan. If you clear a row in time, normal play resumes (including speed-based pacing).
You must clear at least one full row within the move limit. If you use all moves without a clear, the run ends.
Progress, scores & leaderboards
Many modes save in-progress runs so you can leave and return. A run at game over may not always be resumable until you Continue or start fresh.
Classic, Hexfall, Challenge, and Hexneon track high scores locally. On supported devices, Game Center may show leaderboards after you sign in.
Your fastest time to clear the board (personal best).
Make sure you're signed into Game Center in iOS Settings, then open Hexnge again. Leaderboards only apply where the game supports them.
Settings & device
If your build has vibration in Settings (or system-style options in the app), toggle it there. Row clears can trigger haptics when enabled.
Hexnge uses a fixed design resolution scaled to your screen. If something looks off, try restarting the app or updating to the latest version; report your device model and a screenshot to support.
Core play is offline. Internet may be needed for ads, Continue, store features, or Game Center.
Ads & purchases
Ads help support free play. They may appear between games or when using optional features (e.g. Continue), depending on your version.
Buy Remove Ads from the pause menu or game over screen. It’s a one-time purchase. After buying, ads stop on that device. If they don’t, use Restore Purchases, then restart Hexnge.
Remove Ads is tied to your Apple ID, but each device needs to unlock it locally. On the new device (e.g. iPad), open Hexnge → Pause → Restore Purchases, then sign in with the same Apple ID you used to buy. Ads should turn off after a successful restore. The same applies if you reinstall the app.
Use Restore Purchases in the pause menu, ensure you're signed into the same App Store / Google Play account you used to buy, then restart Hexnge. If it still fails, email [email protected] with your receipt or order ID.
Troubleshooting
Force-quit and reopen. If it keeps happening, note your device, iOS version, and mode, then email support.
Check device mute switch, volume, and whether another app is using audio. Restart the game.
Saves are stored on your device. Deleting the app, switching devices, or OS cleanup can remove them. Game Center scores are separate from in-progress saves.
Make sure you're swiping to an adjacent tile, the game isn't paused, and you're not on a game over or countdown screen. In Hyper, wait until the GO countdown finishes.
Privacy & contact
Hexnge may store progress locally on your device, use Apple Game Center for leaderboards when you are signed in, and use ad or analytics partners as described in our Privacy Policy.
Email [email protected] with your device model, iOS version, mode, and a short description (screenshots help).
